The success of the 1964 Rappahannock County Heart Fund Campaign was announced this week by Mrs. Thomas B. Massie, Campaign Chairman. The final amount reached $541.44. The contributions by Districts are as follows:_ - Hampton District, Mrs. Downing Wood, Chairman, $164.50. Piedmont District, Mrs. J. P. Snead, IV, Chairman, $120.17. Wakefield District, Mrs. Paul Miller, Chairman, $85.33, Jackson District, Mrs. John Williams, Chairman, $69*00. Stonewall District, Mrs. Joseph Pauze, Chairman, $65.00 Hawthorne District, Mrs. Harry W. Gallihugh, Chairman, $17.45. Collection through Coin Containers totaled $21.99, with Mrs. J. W. Coates as Chairman.

Flint Hill Firemen Aid Viscose Emergency
Flint Hill Fire Company was one of three units which pumped water to the American Viscose plant in Front Royal when the plant’s main water line broke during the weekend. The 16-inch water line which furnishes fresh water to the plant broke about 9:45 Saturday night and repairs were completed Sunday afternoon. Flint Hill, along with Front Royal and Strasburgfire companies, pumped water to the plant for seventeen hours. A spokesman from the plant expressed appreciation to the fire companies for their assistance. . ... • , . ;
Amissville Ladies Aux. Elects Officers
Amissville Ladies Auxiliary to the Fire Company elected officers for the coming year at the April meeting held Tuesday night at the fire hall. MSs. Edith Hackley is president; Mrs. Elva Compton, vice president; Mrs. A. C. Latham treasurer; Mrs. Mary Priest secretary; Mrs. Braxton James, chaplain; and Mrs. Sarah Latham, reporter.

Changes Meet Date
Due to conflict of dates, the President of Washington Elementary School PTA has called the April meeting for Monday, April 20th, at 7:30 p.m. at the School. This is in place of the regular meeting night of the third Tuesday. The agenda will include the appointment of a nominating committee of three to furnish a slate of nominees for the officers for 1964-65 to be elect ed at the Annual Meeting in May. Other business will include the determination of the disposition of funds on hand. Your presence signifies your interest in your community, yourself, your school and the youth of the community. Your absence speaks just as clearly; only negatively.
