Farm Burns
A 175 year old frame house on the farm of Wade H. Massie III at Massles Corner was completely destroyed by fire Saturday night. The house was rented by Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Grigsby and only Mr. Grigsby was at home when the blaze was discovered. He said that the fire started In a back room and quickly engulfed the whole structure. Hts attempts to extinguish it were futile. Passing motorists who saw the fire turned in the alarm to Washington and Flint Hill fire companies. The Grisby family lost all of their possessions in the fire, except the clothing they had on and a washing machine which was on the porch. The loss was not covered by insurance.
