Washington, D. C., formerly of Woodville, died Wednesday April 8, 1964, in a Washington D. C. hospital. Son of the late . Henry Scott Carder and Emma Grimsley, his wife, and a native of Rappahannock County, he was 62. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Clarence Hume of Culpeper, and several nieces and nephews. Another sister, Mrs. Dolly Wayland Hume, died in February. A funeral service was held Synday, April 12, at the graveside in the Episcopal cemetery at Woodville. The Rev. Park P. Dickerson, pastor of Mt. Lebanon and New Salem Baptist Churches, conducted the last rites. Pallbearers were Franklin Butler, Lester Wayland, Chester Wayland, William Hume, Clifton Hume, Fred Hitt and Amos Butler. Arrangements were handled i by Geest Funeral Parlors.1
