In February
A 21-project request for bids by the State Highway Department has been announced and will include major construction on Interstate Routes and arterial highways and reconstruction on other roads.
In Rappahannock, construction on Arterial Route 211 will include 1.76 miles of two 24foot lanes of bituminous concrete pavement, divided, on new location from 0.9 mile west of Massies Corner to 0.81 mile east of Massies Corner and a new connection with Route 522. Bids on this will be opened February 17.
Another project in the county is on Route 622. Bids will be taken for 2.07 miles of reconstruction and aggregate base east from Route 621, near Rock Mills.
