William D. Cannon
William Daniel Cannon, 60, vice-president, cashier and a director of Culpeper National Bank, died Saturday, January 9, 1965, at Culpeper Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
Mr. Cannon, who resided at 1132 Blue Ridge Avenue, Culpeper, was a native of Rapp'ahannock County and son of the late Benjamin Robert Cannon and the late Elizabeth Partlow Cannon. He had been associated with the Culpeper National Bank since 1923. He was treasurer of Culpeper Methodist Church, treasurer of Culpeper Memorial Hospital, a charter member and past president of the Culpeper Lions Club and a member of Phoenix Lodge #59, IOOF. Mr. Cannon was also treasurer of the Sundial Corp., secretary-treasurer of General Insurance Agency and treasurer of the Culpeper Development Corporation. He was a veteran of World War II. He served on the parents advisory committee of Washington and Lee University. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ellen Hume Cannon; one son, William D. Cannon, Jr. of Culpeper; four sisters, Mrs. William Spicer of Woodbridge, Mrs. Anna Byrd Williams of
Ale^apdfi^ Mrs, . J h.q m Pierce of Occoquan,; and Mrs. Landon Haley oLHampton; two brothers, Howell B. Cannon of Livingston, N. J., and Burrell F. Cannon of McLean. A funeral service was held Sunday, January 10, at Culpeper Methodist Church, the Rev. P. C. Helmintoller conducting the last rites. Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Russell Arrington, Giles H. Miller, Jr., Winfrey G. White, Sr., Dr. J. Bernard Jones, Merlin Evans, R. A. Forbes, Jesse Williams and Carlin Inskeep. Arrangements were handled by Geest Funeral Parlors.

Mr. and Mes. Frank Clatterbuck of Warrenton are the parents of a daughter, Lisa Ann, bprn Christmas Eve ir^Prince William Hospital, Manassas. Mrs. Clatterbuck is the former Gloria Kemper.
