Two Traffic
Incidents Reported
A s i n g 1 e-vehicle accident and a two-car collision in the county were reported early this week by Trooper Paul P. Dicks. George W. Ficklinof Amissville was uninjured when he ran off the left of the road, into a ditch and struck the bank on Route 211 at the south limits of the Town of Washington in a 1963 Dodge station wagon. The accident occurred January 10 at 1;15 a. m. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $350. At 11 a. m. Monday, January 11 about a half mile north of Sperryville on Route 211, Mrs. Lester Yates of Sperryville driving a 60 Rambler and Neil B. Berryman of Washington, D. C., operating a 62 Ford collided. Mrs. Yates was given emergency treatment at the office of Dr. John. P.. Snead, then taken to Page Memorial Hospital by Flint Hill Rescue Squad. She suffered a small fracture of the left ankle and lacerations of the nose and both knees, according to Mr. Dicks. She was hospitalized over night. Berryman was taken to Culpeper Memorial Hospital by private car. He sustained a sprained neck and contusions of the right elbow and left knee. He was treated and released.
Both vehicles were a total loss.
Garden Club To Meet
The Rappahannock Garden Club will hold its regulam meeting on Wednesday, Jan-' uary 20 at 2 p. m. at ^he home of Mrs. L. J. KilbyT in Sperryville. Mrs. W. R. Williamson, Program Chairman, will use as her topic “Plantings to try this Spring.* The Exhibit will be a favorite j flower print or picture, which 'will not be judged.
