A joint meeting of the Board of Supervisors and the Rappahannock County School Board was scheduled for January 22 at one o’clock in the courthouse at Washington. Current bills were approved for payment before the meeting adjourned. Vice-chairman, H. B. Wood, acting in the absence of Chairman J. Newbill Miller at the beginning of the meeting, conducted the meeting with all members present.
