Mrs. Rudolph Patzlg attended the Washington Post Book Fair Luncheon on Saturday, November 6, as guest of Mrs. M. H. Forward of Alexandria. The luncheon was held at the ballroom of the Willard Hotel and was sponsored by the Children’s Book Guild of Washington, D. C. The speakers were Patricia Beatty, Burke Wilkinson and Jean Karl. Afterwards a tour of the display of the Washington Post Children’s Book Fair at the Dept, of Commerce was thoroughly, enjoyed. New additions to the Rappahannock Library Young Reader’s shelves: The complete set of Golden Library of Knowledge, 16 volumes, given by the Library Board in memory of Mrs. Grace Massie. Pictured Knowledge, and Illustrated Encyclopedia in 14 volumes, 1956 edition, gift of Mrs. Bernice Peterson, Alexandria, Va. Children’s Fairy Tales by Oscar Wilde, Ludwig Bechstein, Charles Perrault and Iafcadio Hearn.
