Dear Editor: When I was in the states, It must admit that I accepted a lot of uninformed and misinformed conclusions against the U. S. involvement in Viet Nam. Although much of the distorted information sounded logical, as it turned out, few of us really knew what we were talking about. Now that us servicemen are in Viet Nam, I can only think of the hundreds of Americans who are giving their blood in the mountains and rice fields in order to foster our American heritage of freedom. Grant this is a sick, filthy war, but what is more filthy is the | reading about students attempting to halt troop trains and even seeking to take offerings for the Viet Cong. What’s next for these derelicts, sabotage? Do they consider it wrong to help another country decide its own destiny? This procommunist action definitely hurts us servicemen in Viet Nam. But we are not discouraged although this activity does encourage the V. C. I am confident that all those freedom loving Americans will now stand up and be accounted for as we solicit their support in our stand for the self-determination of this
