Sunday, June 12 at 2 p.m. the Historical Society will lead a tour of members and visitors (guests are invited) on the first visit^tjon of some of the seldom visited landmarks in the county." The tour will start from the Court House not later than 2;30 p.m. For those who do not have cars arrangements will be made to ride with members who have cars. The itinerary is being prepared by the committee in charge and will be led by Park Ranger James R. Johnson. All sights on the tour will be those having significance here over one hundred years ago. Old Salem Church, some Mills, a cemetery and an early house will be listed among the places of interest. It would be helpful to have some indication as to the number to prepare for. A telephone call to Mr. E. M. Jones at the Clerks office or a post card to the President, Mr. Jones will be a big help. Plans are under way for the quarterly meeting of Rappahannock Historical Society which is to be held on June 14. Mrs. Judith French, an authority on the waterways and their care in the rural areas, will be the speaker. Color film will be used to augment her presentation. Members and guests will have a treat both from her subject and her excellence as a speaker.
