Mr. and Mrs. Willie Gardiner Wines and family of Front Royal spent last Tuesday with Mrs. Alma Wines. Stanley Williams who was ill recently has returned to his work. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Williams visited the latter’s brother and sister-in-law at Stephens City last Wednesday. Mrs. “Pet’’ Smith returned home last Wednesday after spending several weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Smith of Strasburg Road. Sam North was taken to the Warren Me m o ria 1 Hospital Sunday afternoon for treatment.
Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Mahoney of Front Royal visited in this community on Sunday. Week-end visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew R. Williams were Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy! Harris and daughter x>f New London, Conn, and Mr. and Mrs. Billy Daniels anddaughter of Newport News. Mrs. Maybelle Gilkey attended a training meeting for the Home Demonstration Club last Friday in Washington, Va. Pfc Floyd Lilly is spending some time with Mrs. Lilly in the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Albert Williams. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Elphinstone for the week-end at their home here were Miss Barbara Cronin of Silver Spring, Md. and Mrs. Dee Dee Dunn of Bethesda Md. The Rev. and Mrs. John Fitzgerald and his daughter and son-in-law and family, all of Baltimore, visited friends in Chester Gap on Sunday.
