Insure the continued membership of Rappahannock County in the Program by coming to the Bloodmobile unit and donating a pint of blood on Monday June 13, at the Trinity Episcopal Church Parish Hall, between the hours of 12 noon and 6 p. m.
Hearing Scheduled
On Sales Tax
A hearing on the sales tax proposed to be levied in Rappahannock County will be conducted at the regular June meeting of the Board of Supervisors scheduled for June 3, 1966 at the courthouse in Washington commencing at 10 a.m. The proposed ordinance provides that a sales tax of one percent be levied by the county to produce revenue for the general fund of Rappahannock County. The effective date of the tax proposed is September 1, at the same time the two percent state sales tax goes into effect. The local sales tax, if passed, will be administered and Collected by the State Tax Commissioner of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
