He said that some people often forget that Social Security is paid for by those receiving the benefits. Mr. Boothe who is running against young Harry F. Byrd, Jr., in the July 12th Democratic Primary challenged “Little Harry” to “take a posi1 tion on this vital issue, in his speech Tueaday night at Waynesboro, Boothe said that our Social Security program should be re-examined and strengthened. Mr. Boothe said that Social Security payments should be increased to *at least equal the increases in the costs of living”. He also said that our Senior Citizens should not be penalized for part time work under the Social Security program.
