Chester Gap firemen with the assistance of the citizens of the area are in a fervor of activity preparing for their annual 4-night benefit carnival which is scheduled for June 29, 30 and'July 1 and 2. Festivities planned are a fireworks display on Thursday night, the crowning of a Carnival Queen Friday night and the awarding of a grand prize and many lesser prizes as a climax to the gala event. There will be rides, amusements, games, good food and much fun for young and old. The public is invited to share the fun and enjoy themselves, and contribute to the success of a worthy, working organization, the Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department.

Scouts Leave Sunday For Rock Enon

The Boy Scout Troop #64 of Washington will leave at noon Sunday for a week of camping, at Camp Rock Enon near Gore, Va. Accompanying them will be Scoutmaster T. Carlyle Lea. Page Moffett, who is a member of this troop, is spend ing the summer at the camp as a counselor.
