Sgt. Ennis A. Norman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton D. Norman of Woodville, was meritoriously promoted to his present rank June 1, 1966 by Major General Lewis J. Fields, Commanding General of thd 1st Marine Division at Chu Lai, Republic of Vietnam. Presenting the award is Colonel George P. Blackburn, the Division Legal Officer. Present at the promotion ceremonies was comedian “Frank Sutton” of the T.V. show “Gomer Pyle USMC.” Sgt. Norman has been an active member of the United States Marine Corps since March 1964. He is married to the former Lillian A. Grigsby of Castleton. He was also presented a Letter of Appreciation for outstanding work while TAD to San Jose, Mindoro, Republic of the Philippines during March 1 and 26 March 1966 by Captain George L. Bailey the Division Claims Officer. Sgt. Norman is a 1963 graduate of Rappahannock County High School, Washington, Va.
