Despite a power shortage due to an electrical storm Mrs. C. B. Palmer was hostess to the Washington Bridge Club Thursday evening at her home Scuffle Hill. With the aid of Daylight Saving Time followed by a lamp and candel abra Mrs. Palmer entertained Mrs. L. J. Turner, Mrs. D. D. Miller, Mrs. Henry Keyser, Mrs. T. C. Lea, Mrs. W. H. Massle, Jr., Mrs. Harry Lee Smith, Mrs. G. W. Smith, Jr. and Mrs. W. F. Moffett, Jr. Prizes were given Mrs. H. L. Smith, Mrs. Moffett, Mrs. G. W. Smith and Mrs. Lea. Grimmer Family Entertained by Parishonen

la The Rev. and Mrs. James B. Grimmer of Flint Hill were entertained with a supper Sunday evening at the fire hall in Flint Hill. Mr. Grimmer, who has been pastor of the Flint Hill Methodist Church for four years, has been assigned to the Bailey’s Chapel Methodist Church in Madison Heights. He will leave today with his wife and daughter Susan, to assume his new pastorate. The members of the Flint Hill Church gave the dinner.
