Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown of Hamilton were guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown. Their son Steve returned home with them after spending the week with his grandparents. Other guest6 over the week-end were Mrs. A. Paul Thompson and daughter Ann Rodes of Murfreesboro, N. C. Davis Brown is spending this week at Rock Villa. George “Kitty* Brown has returned to the Lee Highway Hotel after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Gossom in Falls Church. He was accompanied home by Mr. and Mrs. C. Lucian Brown of Jones ville, N. C. Miss Ann Yates Aylor, Karen Roos, Joyce Aylor and Joe Aylor of Arlington accompanied Mrs. Della B. Howard home for a week-end visit. Joyce remained for a two weeks visit with her grandmother. Mrs. Howard also had as week-end guests Gen. and Mrs. Woods of Washington, D. C. Mrs. Perle Coffey and Mrs. Harry Smith were guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Rector in Marshall. Callers in the Coffey home on Friday night were Mrs. Alice Verner and Mrs. Mary Updike of Wash ington. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. J, Earle Wayland were Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Wayland of Alexandria. On Thursday Mrs. Wayland, Mrs. E. W. Gore, Mrs. Henry Brown were in Winchester to meet Miss Bonnie Brown who returned home from Miami University for the summer. Robert Brown returned to Portsmouth on Sunday after a two weeks visit with his brother-in-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Gore. Henry Brown has returned home after being a patient in University of Virginia Hospital. His condition is reported as satisfactory.
