The Rev. James Harrison received his Bachelor of Sacred Theology degree from Wesley Theological Seminary, Washington, D. C. on May 30, 1966. He has been the minister of Little Fork Methodist Charge which included the Amissville Methodist Church .for the past three years. Mr. Harrison was ordained Thursday, June 16 at the Virginia! Methodist Conference held at the Municipal Auditorium in Norfolk. He is a native of Harrisonburg, Va. His forefathers gave the land on which the courthouse there is built. He was graduated from Bridgewater College and is married to Ingleborg Munzenmayer of Mannheim, Germany. Mr. Harrison and his family will leave this week for So^th Boston, Va. where he will assume a pastorate in the Hyco Methodist Charge.
Receives M.A. Degree
Robert Lee Massie, Jr., son of Mrs. F. W. Spalding of Flint Hill, was awarded an M.A. degree in Special Education from-' Michigan State Uttf* versity in East Lansing, Michigan on June 12. Mr. Massie will start July 1 as consultant in the office of Special Education in the Richmond School System.
BS Concluded at Reynolds Church
A week of Vacation Bible School at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church, Sperryville, ended with Commencement exercises Friday, June 17 at 4 p. m. Enrollment for the school was 83, with Mrs. Cletus Clarke acting as principal.
Teachers for the week’s activities were Mrs. Sherwood Boze, Mrs. Wilson Burke, Mrs. James F. Smith, Mrs. James B. Perkins, Mrs. Carson Johrv son, Mrs. Wilson Atkins, the Rev. W. A. Harrison and Mrs. Sam Dwyer. Co-workers were Linda Leake, L^inda Jenkins, Jeannie WoOdard, C. E. Dodson and Beverley Beahm. Music was under the direction of Mrs. W. A. Harrison with Mrs. James Wayland serving as pianist. Members of the refreshment committee were Mrs. J. Rodes Brown, Stevie Aylor and Clyde Atkins. Trans, portation to the school was furnished by Mrs. W. H. Lyne and Mrs. C. K. Estes arranged the flowers for the Commence ment exercises.
