Mrs. Roberta M. Spalding, Commissioner of the Revenue of Rappahannock County, will have sales tax information in her office in the courthouse, Washington, Va. Available to vendors or vendees needing them will be certificates of exemption of the several categories and bracket, system tables. You may pick up copies at that office.
Washington PTA To Conduct Book Sale
The P.T.A. of the Washington Elementary School will conduct a secondhand book sale again this year. Secondhand books are available from the 2nd grade through the 7th. The Sale will be held August 30 and 31 from 9 a. m. until 12 noon and again on Tuesday, September 6.
Teachers Reception at Washington Elementary
The Washington Elementary School P.T.A. will hold a Reception in honor of new teachers and returning “old faithfuls", Friday, August 26 at 2:30 p.m. at the school. All parents who have children attending the school this fall are urged to attend and get to know their child’s teacher.
