Sothoron of Marrioot* ville, Md. were Wednesday callers. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wood and son of Blacksburg were week-end guests last week of Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Wood and attended the Dewhlrst-Turner wedding in Washington. Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Foster were Mr. and Mrs. Irving Corbin and family of Annandale and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Foster. Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Palmore of Richmond arrived Tuesday for a two day visit with Mrs. Palmore’s brother-in-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. John S. Browning. Mr. and Mrs. EdgarD. Charles are visiting at the home of Mrs. Charles's pa rents Mr and Mrs. B. J. Wood. After September 1 they will live in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where Mr. Charles will study fora master's degree at the University of Alabama and Mrs. Charles will teach French at the Tuscaloosa High School. Mrs. Paul Miller and Mrs. G. W. Smith, Jr. were callers Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Yates at Boston. ■ Mrs. Bob Sabin, Mrs. Tony Ramano of Silver Spring, Md. and Mrs. James Brant of Arlington were Thursday guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Cook. Mrs. EmmaCoppageof Sandston was a guest of the Cook from Friday until Monday. Edgar Browning of Washington, D. C. and John B. Browning of Richmond spent the week end at their home. The W.S.C.S. will meet Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Lock Burford to-night, Thursday, at 7:30 p.m.with Mrs. E. M. Eastham and Mrs. Burford joint hostesses. The Homemaker’s Club met last Tuesday evening at the Fire Hall. Mrs. Will Putnam conducted a program on “Table Setting . Others present were Mrs. Barbara Gentry, Mrs. Mary Cleverley, Mrs. Ida Trump, Mrs. Moffett Pullen, Kenny Pullen and Mrs Paul Miller. Monday callers in the J. P. Cook home were Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Fox of Afton and James Fox of Greenwood.
