OBITUARIES
Mrs. Lulu Martin
Mrs. Lulu Ashby Thorn Martin, 83, of Culpeper died Wednesday, August 17 at the Sunset Haven Nursing Home, Grif finsburg, after an illness of several weeks. She was the widow of Edward Ellis Martin and the daughter of the late Soloman Thorn and the late Nannie Webster Thorn of Rap pahannock County. She was a member of the Salem Baptist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. W. B. Nichols and a granddaughter Patsy Nichols of Culpeper; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Romine of Culpeper and Mrs. Willie Spicer, Castleton. She was a member of the Salem Baptist Church. A funeral service was held Friday at 2 o’clock from the Geest Funeral Chapel with the Rev. George Williamson officiating. Interment was in .the family section of Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper. Those selected as pallbearers were C. F. Yates, Otis Thornhill, Raymond L. Leak^ Robert Carder, Thomas Brown, William Hawkins, R. E. Fincham and William Alphin.
