The state office of the Soil Conservation Service has noti fied Supervisors of the District that they would have a survey party available to do this work starting January 17th, This preliminary investiga - tion would require elevations along the stream and occasional cross-sections. Pending feasibility of a water impound ment structure in this area as determined by this survey party it is anticipated that an explanation of their findings and procedure methods in getting construction under way will be presented at a later date.

******** An explanation meeting of the up coming referendum to be conducted among Virginia's swine producers will be held at 7;30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9th in the auditorium of Second National Bank In Culpeper. All Rappahannock farmers who sell as many as 25 market hogs or feeder pigs per year should by all means attend this meeting.
