A note from the "Chemical D r u g - P e s t ic id e Newsletter" from Blacksburg might be of interest to some of you. This states that “wives of veterinarians in Illinois have been advised that cold water detergents are not effective bactercides ....Garments washed in these detergents may be clean but may also harbor many bacteria. If cold water detergent is to be used disinfectants • should be added to the water." We know that bacteria and germs are present everywhere, so if you are a believer in cold water washing maybe you should see what ingredients are included to eheek bacteria growth.
