The Rappahannock County, Warrenton, Remington and Fauquier County Lions Clubs and the Fauquier County Medical Society together with the Northern Virginia Academy of Ophthalmology are co-sponsoring for the first time a “Glaucoma Detection Day" Saturday, April 15, 1967. This is another step in their campaign to conserve sight and prevent unnecessary blindness. Free tests will be offered to a limited number of Rappahannock and Fauquier residents.
The glaucoma detection tests will be given at Fauquier Hospital from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 1967. Advance appointments must be made for these tests in order to avoid unnecessary congestion at the hospital and excessive waiting periods. Appointments will be made between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday, April 6 through Saturday, April 8. Only Rappahannock residents age 40 and over should call and priority will be given to relatives of glaucoma patients. For appointment, call Washington, Va. 675-3500 or Amissville 937-3329.
