Mar jorie Holmes, well known author and teacher,'will be a guest speaker at the annual spring meeting of District VIII, Home Demonstration Clubs on April 22, 1967 when it convenes at Madison County High School at 10 a.m. The general theme of her talk will be “Happiness Is Family The Rev. Horace Douty, pastor of Culpeper Presbyterian Church, will also speak, select ing as his topic, “Mental Health in Relation to Family Living." Marjorie Holmes, anativeof Storm Lake, Iowa, is a graduate of Cornell College, Mount Vernon, Iowa, and is married to Lynn Mighell. She is the author of a column, “Love and Laughter’ which appears in the Evening Star, Washington, D. C. These columns and other writings will be publish ed this month by Doubleday under the title “Love and Laughter.” She has written two adult novels, “World by the Tail” and “Ten O’clock Scho lar” (J. P. Lippincott), and is co-author of an adult nonfiction book, “And Always Tomorrow’ (Holt, Rhinehart & Winston), a story of mental health.
