A report from the County Planning Commission stated that they do not favor amending the zoning ordinances to include mobile homes except in trailer parks.
No action was taken on a letter from C. E. Johnson, Jr. concerning tuition for certain county pupils. There are 65 pupils attending Rappahannock schools whose parents are non-residents of the county. Superintendent Norton did not recommend action on this, since litigation is presently being conducted in the state.
The possibility of a County Compulsory School Attendance Law was discussed and the Board requested that Mr. Norton discuss the matter with the School Board and report to the Supervisors at a future meeing. The purchase of a new typewriter for.the Clerk’s office was authorized and the repair of four old chairs in the courtroom was approved. Current accounts were approved for payment before adjournment.
