Historical Society To
Hold Field Trip
The cemetery committee of the Rappahannock Historical Society will hold a Field Trip Sunday, April 16 starting at 2 p.m. The group will assemble at the Court House in Wash ington and plans have been made to visit two cemeteries. All interested persons, members or non-members are cordially invited to make this tour. Following the trip Mrs. George H. Davis, Jr. will serve tea at her home on Gay Street.
Minor Traffic Crashes
During Weekend
A single-vehicle traffic crash occurred on Route 211 early Sunday morning about four miles east of Washington A 58 Oldsmobile owned and operated by Robert Welden Richards of Manassas rounded a right curve, crossed to the left of the road, veered back to the right, struck a tree and spun around in the road. Three people including the driver sustained some injuries. According to a reportj filed by the investigating officer, Richards had a lacerated forehead; Joseph Wise ofi Front Royal received aj bruised left knee and Fred-i erick Richburg of Erie, Pa.: sustained a bruised chest. They were taken to Warren; Memorial Hospital, Front Royal by Rappahannock Res' cue Squad. Richards was charged with1 reckless driving.
