Saturday April 15th is trash pick-up day in the Town of Washington for annual Cleanup Week. Raking, pruning and even mowing have been going at full swing to get the town in presentable shape for spring. The Town Council had designated April 8th through 15th as Clean-up Paint-up, Fixup Week for this year.. The trash collection on Saturday is in addition to the regular collection on the first Saturday in each month. This is the time of year when car owners are reminded that there is an ordinance passed in 1936 that limits parking on the street to 24 hours. Car owners are asked to removecars from streets and alleys that are in violation of this ordinance.

According to Mr. Jenkins, the revised lighting is very satisfactory, and his only suggestion would be an additional] light in the rear of the building burning. The Board authorized the publication of a 8200 reward for information concerning breaking, entering, burglarizing and / or vandalizing school property. Supervisors took no action concerning a fox trapping program in the county as suggested in a letter from Dr. Dickerson of the Health Department. Most discussion on the matter was negative. [Tans for public dumps in the couim- are still being pursued. Tne proposed Amissville dump plans are complete and signing of a lease is all that remains to be done.
