S.C.A. and F.H.A. Week came to a close Tuesday at R. C.H.S. with an assembly held during the last period of the afternoon. A group of F. H.A. members opened the program with a short presentation in which they described the symbolism of the F.H.A. seal, and the aims and purposes of the organization. The table used by the girls for the presentation was covered witha white cloth on which sat white candles representing the aims, a large seal, and a red rose, the symbol of the organization. Following the F. H.A. program, Tommy Williams and Nancy Buntin gave reports of their trip to the Virginia Conference onAmerr can Foreign Policy in Richmond on March 18. Eddie Clark and Janei Hackley then gave reports on the State S. C.A. Conference in Charlottesville which they attended on April 1. Joan Lee, President of the high school S.C.A. wound up the assembly with a short history of the Student Cooperative Association. As part of Future Homemakers of America Week Mrs. Wood and several members of the school’s F.H.A. gave a tea for the faculty after school Thursday. Fruit punch, several dips, potato chips and mints were served. Also held Thursday after school was an Annual Staff meeting at which this year’s staff began teaching the 196768 staff how to put together a yearbook. It is hoped that these meetings will enable the new staff to produce an annual more efficiently and more easily than staffs in the past; which have had to overcome many unforeseen problems on their own. The R.C.H.S. baseball team played the first game of the season against William Monroe High School on Thursday, April 6. The score was Wil- , liam Monroe - 5; Rappahan- • nock - 1.
