Daylight Saving Time
Starts Sunday A.M.
Change your clock on Saturday night to be ready for Daylight Saving Time which starts in Virginia this year on Sunday at 2 a. m. It will continue through the summer until the last Sunday in October. This year the whole state will be on DST due to a law enacted by Congress last year. Prior to this there had been great confusion with some states and cities remaining on Eastern Standard Time when others changed to DST. This year DST will be observed by all in the state except cows and roosters who still go by the sun. Whereas, an hour will be lost on Sunday it will be gained in October.
Joint Baptist Revival
The Washington and Flint Hill Baptist Churches will be holding revival services May 1-5 and 7. These services will be led by Dr. H. Cowen Ellis, pastor of the First Baptist Chuch in Charlottesville. The schedule for the services is as follows: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 8 p. m., Washington Baptist Church; Thursday, Friday, 8 p. m. and Sunday, 11 a. m., Flint Hill Baptist Church. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.
