On Friday, April 21st, the 1967-68 R. C. H.S. Cheerleaders left after school to attend the annual Cheerlead ing Clinic, held this year at Marion. The girls and their sponsor, Miss Jean Lillard, spent Friday night at Radford before going on to Marion the next day. While at the clinic the cheerleaders were taught how to improve their motions and rhythm, how to increase the sportmanship of the spec tators and a group of new cheers. At about 3; 15 the girls left to return home.
This week’s teacher’s profile is that of Mrs. Fisher Eastham Burford. After attending Washington High School she went to the College of William and Mary from which she was graduated with a' B. S. degree. While in college Mrs Burford was a member of the Euclid Club, the Y.W.C.A.and the English Club. At R.C.H.S. Mrs. Burgord teaches Math, Albebra I and II, Geometry and Trigonometry. She and her husband Lockett Bailey Burford reside at Flint Hill. Her interests include antiques, flowers and “grandchildren'’.
