Potomac Edison
Changes Billing
Most Potomac Edison customers will soon begin receiving their electric bills once every two months instead of every montlj, it was announced today by A. McDaniel, Manager of the Company's Luray District. Increasing customer billing costs prompted the Company to make the change, McDaniel said. “In the face of these rising costs, we looked for a way to hold down billing expenses that would not effect the high quality of service we want to continue to provide to our customers,* McDaniel stated.
According to the Company spokesman, the bimonthly billing plan makes provisions for those who prefer to con tinue to make monthly payments on their electric bills, and customers are being informed of the procedure to follow. McDaniel pointed out that notices have been mailed to all customers who will be affected by the change. These include all residential customers whose monthly usage is less than J0O0 kilowatthours or whose service does not require the use of a demand meter.
