The county convention where farmer-chosen delegates will elect farmers tofillwacancies on the Rappahannock County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation (ASC) Committee will be held September 29, 1967 at 9:00 a.m. in the Rappahannock ASCS County Of flee, according to H. S. Barksdale, Chairman, ASC County Committee. The convention will be open to the public, and any person interested in observing the voting procedure may attend. However only farmer-delegates to the convention may partief pate in the election process. Election Is by secret ballot. County committeemen are elected for 3-year staggered terms, and the service of each county committeeman is limit ed to three consecutive terms. Each year, the convention also elects a first and a second alternate committeeman, each for a 1-year term. After the county committeemen are ele cted, the delegates vote again to determine j which of the regular commit-j teemen will serve as chair-1 man and vice chairman for| the coming year.
