Robert L. Massie, Jr. of Richmond was the week-end guest of his mother Mrs. F. W. Spalding. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nethers and Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Net hers were Sunday visitors of Mrs. Mary Guessford in Williamsport, Md. Miss Judy Lillard left Wednesday for Pulaski where she will do student teaching, having completed her classes at Radford College. Miss Joan Lillard, who is employed by the American Embassy in Paris recently spent ten days with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Lillard. Mr. and Mrs. John S. Browning were callers Thursday of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood in Woodville.
Promise Land Rally Day
The annual Rally Day of Promise Land Baptist Church, Washington, Va. will be held Sunday, September 24. The morning services will be rendered by the pastor, Rev. Robert Ausberry after which dinner will be served on the grounds. The guest speaker for the afternoon services will be the well known Rev. Carter Ausberry, Pastor of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
