In the field trial Intervale Spunk owned by Mr. Lyne, was in 6th place in the high general average derby hounds. A number of foxes were caught and in addition it was reported several deer were jumped and a lady declared she saw the hounds chasing a black bear in the vicinity of Grindstone Mountain. C. C. Clark of Woodville, president of the Northern Virginia Fox Hunter’s Association, suffered a mild stroke Friday and was taken to Culpeper Memorial Hospital. How ever, he is now at home progressing satisfactorily. The association extended appreciation to land owners, to the Culpeper Chamber of Commerce, to the Game Wap dens and State Police, the Culpeper Sheriff’s Department and to dog food manufacturers, for their part in making the event successful. It was declared by many to be the best ever attended. Several hounds have not been recovered from the hunt and residents in the area 3re asked to report any lost hounds they might see to w. h. Lyne, Washington or Oliver Durant II, Culpeper.
