On the basis of our belief as stated in our Church Covenant, as quoted; "to abstain from the sale and use of intoxicating drink as a beverage," we, as a church, The Woodville Baptist Church of Woodville, Rappahannock County, Virginia, took the following action on September 17, .1967:
That we express our disapproval
to a State A.B.C.
Store being established in
the Town of Washington,
Rappahannock County,
Virginia. That a copy of this disapproval be sent to the Commonwealth of Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Board; a copy to Mr. J. Newbill Miller, Chairman of the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors; and a copy to the Rappahannock News to be published therein. Above action taken at the 11 a.m. worship service on September 17, 1967.
