Fire Assoc. Elects
The following officers were elected to serve the coming year with the Rappahannock County Volunteer Firemen’s Association: President, Charles C. Gasch, Castleton; vice-president, Paul Poling, Amissville; secretary, Hubert Gilkey, Chester Gap; treasurer, H. S. Barksdale, Flint Hill. The election took place at the September meeting held Friday at Chester Gap fire hall. Other business discussed was the county fire school sche duled to be held Saturday and Sunday, September 30 and Oc tober 1; and Saturday and Sunday, October 7 and 8. The school will be held at the Amissville carnival grounds.
Opens Garage
Downing W. Hitt of Castleton has purchased and opened a garage on Route 729 near Ben Venue. This is the property and garage formerly operated by Floyd Hitt. The business is operated as Ben Venue Garage and will offer general auto and truck repair and 24 hour wrecker service.
