Mrs. Williams Celebrated 91st Birthday April 28
Mrs. Lou Emma Williams, known as Mother Williams to some, celebrated her 91st birthday on April 28 at her home in Mt. Salem with four of her children with her. Present were Mrs. Bertha Lancaster of Bridgeport, Conn, Joe Williams of Montclair, N. J., John Williams of Washington, D. C., and Miss C. A. Williams who lives with her. Those absent were the Misses Grace and Lafayette Williams and Jay Williams.
Her day was very happily spent reading her many cards and with telephone calls from neighbors and friends. Mrs. Williams said, “I 'spect I will have to have a party on my 92nd birthday."
Marvin of Hope Hill were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Acrey Dodson. Other members of the family were also callers that day. Mrs. Leon Compton and children Joy, Angy and Kenny spent Friday with her grandmother Mrs. Nannie Sutton.
