Amissville Nursery
Center Opened Tues.
Lull water Farms Nursery and Garden Center opened in Amissville on Tuesday, November 19. Hie store is owned and operated by Mrs. Francis Leonard Mho opened a nursery at her home last year. Hie store will be operated in connection with the nursery and in addition will offer seasonal goods for sale, including Christmas gifts and decorations, candles, paper napkins and cups and greeting cards and many gift items for a variety of occasions.
Other items available in addition to the flowering shrubs in which Mrs. Leonard had specialized will be garden tools and pruners, fertilizers, insecticides. Hie store will be open seven days a week and hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
A special feature for the holiday will be freshly cut Christmas trees in pink, blue and white. Orders must be placed for these.
Arts & Crafts Group
Does Plastic Casting
The Arts and Crafts group met Tuesday with nine persons in attendance. 'Hie project was casting.
Hiere will be another meeting Tuesday, November 26, 10 a.m. at Thompsen’s Cab-Inn to finish the plastic casting which can be used to imbed butterflies, moths, dried flowers, stamps, coins or any memento you may desire to preserve. A small fee is charged for any material you may use.
