A W.S.C.S. Prayer Service will be held tonight (Thursday) at the home of Mrs. G. W. Smith, Jr. at 7:30.

Mrs. Bobby Sealock and daughter Karen of Arlington, Mrs. Gavor Foster and son Chris, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Foster and daughter Charlotte and Sharon were guests several days during the power shortage last week of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Foster. Also during that time Mrs. E. M. Eastham was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. M. R. Bradford, Jr.

Mrs. Carson Lillard and Mrs. Raymond Rector remain as patients in the Winchester Memorial Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. John S. Browning were Saturday evening Bridge guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood in Sperryville. John B. Browning of Charlottesville spent the weekend with his parents. Louis More was a Sunday dinner guest in the Browning home.

Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Burford had as Sunday dinner guests at the Lord Culpeper Hotel in Culpeper Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Windrey of Woodville.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Nichols and family were visitors Sunday of Mrs. Nichols’ mother Mrs. W. L. Golladay in Woodstock who is a patient in the local hospital.

Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Pullen were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Putnam of Front Royal and Mrs. Bobbie Hawkins of Arlington.

PFC Walter Krause arrived Saturday night from Fort Carson, Colo, for a weeks visit with his mother Mrs. Mary Krause. Miss Sue Pearson of Front Royal was a guest Sunday in the Krause home.

Mrs. W. A. Moore on vacation from the Citizens National Bank in Front Royal left Suuday to visit her son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ward in Miami, Fla. and will also visit her son S/Sgt. W. A. Moore, Jr. in Myrtle Beach, S. C. The Home Demonstration Club met Tuesday night at the home of Mrs. Ida Trump. The demonstration was on Removing Spots and Stains.

Mrs. Mary Cleverley and Mrs. Ira Trump spent Monday in Washington, D.C. and visited Mrs. Trump’s sister Mrs. George Candy. Mrs. Cleverley attended a Handicraft Show at the National Housing Center.
