“In the old cotton Fields back home”, it was a thrill to hear the colored people singing, in a harmony peculiar to their race. TTie shadows are lengthening, soon it will be weighin’ and payin’ time, then to home and rest. One of the songs that echoes down the years went something like this -
“On Monday He taught me how to love.
On Tuesday wrote my name above.
(Then a blessing for each week day till)
On Sunday He gave me grace divine
To let my li’l light shine”.
Men are not stars nor sunlight, they like the moon need another light to shine upon them. How are we reflecting the light of God’s love, are we good stewards of Light, Life and Love?
