For Paying Taxes
Thursday, December 5, 1968 k the deadline for paying persona property and real estate taxes ir Rappahannock County. After this date a 5% penalty goes into effect. Taxes may be paid at the office of Treasurer Robert L. Brown in Washington, Va, or may be mailed to that office. To avoid penalty all remittances mailed must bear a postmark not later than December 5.
Christmas Bazaar
Here on Dec. 7th
The Annual Christmas Bazaar sponsored by the Rappahannock County Garden Club under the Chairmanship of Mrs. William Keim will be held Saturday, December 7 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington, Va. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Among articles offered for sale will be decorations for table, wall, door and mantle, pine cone Christmas trees, wreaths, felt animals for tree decoration or for Christmas wrappings. There will also be jellies, cookies and candies to delight both young and old. Orders will be taken for baskets of Christmas greens. Proceeds from the bazaar are used to send youngsters to Nature Camp and to add to a scholarship fund. Coffee and cookies will be served to those attending. A warm welcome is extended to all.
