Susan Latham made use of the hike as an excuse for an extra snack since there is rigid calorie counting being done at her house, in Amissville. She had cheese and crackers and an apple tucked away for added energy. I (Sarah Latham) completed the roster ol hikers.
'Hie upward climb was steep, but by pacing ourselves, it was not difficult and only in small spots was there any of the snow remaining from the early November storm. By the time we reached the mountain top, the

It was suggested that we go | down the mountain by another ! trail which was a little longer but | not as steep, and so it was agreed j After descending a way the trail followed the north side of the mountain and the path for most of a mile was filled with snow several inches deep. By the time all were gathered at the parking area again, there were many wet and cold feet and weary bodies but the trek had been thoroughly enjoyed.
