Thanksgiving Service
The Woodville Baptist Churcl will hold a Thanksgiving Ev< Service Wednesday, November 21 at 7:30 p.m. All are invited t< attend.
The annual community Thanksgiving Service in Amissville will be held Wednesday evening, November 27 at the Methodist Church at 7:30 p.m. The Rev. Charles Kindred, pastor o t Amissville Baptist Church, will deliver the message. Everyone is invited to attend.
On Thursday, November 28 a Thanksgiving Day Service will b€ held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington, at 10:00 a.m. This is a community-wide service, a combined effort of the Episcopal, Methodist and Baptist Churches in the area. A cordial invitation is extended to all the people in the county.

HOG MARKET OUTLOOK
Bumper com crop in Midwest! Hog prices look out! Will it happen again as so many times in the past? Yes, in the past a bumper com crop has nearly always brought low hog prices. The most recent U.S.D.A. Hogs and Pigs Report (formerly Pig Crop Report) says that farrowing intentions in the 10 Midwest hog states (75% of national hog production) are up about 5% over last year. A 5% increase in hogs marketed last year would bring hog prices down considerably from the prices of the last 3 years. The warning signs are evident. The producer will probably have to tighten up on efficiencies to keep showing a reasonable profit margin. Lower com prices in 1969 will help some but relatively the price of hogs may drop more than com prices.

Oratorio Conductor
The Front Royal Oratorio Society will present its forty voice choir in concert on Sunday, December 1, in the sanctuary of the Front Royal Presbyterian Church, at 8 p.m. The guest director for this season will be Mr. Lloyd Robb of Winchester. Mr. Robb is presently Director of Choral Activities and chairman of the Vocal Dept, at the Shenandoah Conservatory of Music, Winchester. He has been at the Conservatory for the past six years.
