John H. Leake
Funeral services for John Herbert Leake, 79, of Sperryville who died June 24, 1969 at the Culpeper Memorial Hospital, will be held Thursday, (today) at 11 a.m. at the graveside in the Sperryville Cemetery, the Rev. William A. Harrison officiating.
Mr. Leake, a retired farmer, was the son of the late John and Mary Jenkins Leake of Rappahannock County.
Survivors include his widow Mrs. Eugie Woodard Leake of Sperryville; three sons, Charles L., H. Vemon and Roy B. Leake, all of Sperryville; one daughter, Mrs. Hollie Rooney of Savage, Md., one sister, Mrs. Sam Woodard of Amissville; five grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Charles Wesley Bailey, Jr. 47, of Haymarket will be conducted Thursday at 11 o’clock from the Geest Funeral Chapel with burial in the Fairview Cemetery. Mr. Bailey died Monday, June 23, 1969 Prince William Hospital in Manassas. He was a construction foreman and was forced to retire following a long period of illness. He was a son of the late Charles W. Bailey, Sr. of , 1 Boston and Mrs. Lizzie Bailey , who now resides at Silver Spring, i Md. Besides his mother he is , survived by his widow Mrs. Kathleen Ann Bailey of Haymarket; one daughter, Lucy Elizabeth Bailey; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Jay Maupin of Frederick, Md., a stepson, Sgt. Russell L. ; Bolton of Fort Riley, Kansas; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Thornhill of : Boston and Mrs. Nellie Scruce of Silver Spring and one grandson.
