Benefit Supper Saturday
A Ham and Turkey dinner sponsored by the Amissville Fire Department will be held Saturday, May 16 at the Amissville Fire Hall. Dinner will be served from 5 to 9 p.m. and is $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for children under 12.
Power Co. Linemen
Electrocuted Thurs.
One man was killed and four injured in a power line accident near Flint Hill in Rappahannock County last Thursday morning. All five were linemen for the Potomac Edison Company, and were setting a pole when they struck an energized line.
Dead on arrival at Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal was William Marshall Mahoney of Front Royal. He was a native of Rappahannock, bom July 1, 1927. Obituary inside.
Floyd A. Nauman of Luray sustained a laceration and was admitted to the hospital for treatment and observation. Treated for minor burns and released were Carson F. Aleshire and Jesse 0. Hoak, both of Luray and Junior Griffith of Front Royal. The victims were taken to the hospital by Flint Hill and Front Royal Rescue Squad.
