Red Cross Group Notes Fund Report

A group of volunteers headed by Mrs. Magdalene Dearing of Washington report on the membership drive for the American Red Cross which was executed by them. A total of $171.25 was realized from the efforts of the group which included Mrs. Roberta Jackson, Mrs. Pearl Groves, Mrs. Elizabeth Jett. Mrs. Rachel Aylor and Mrs. Mabel Gfasker. Mrs. D.aring expressed her appreciation to the diligent work of these dedicated volunteers.

Sunday were her grandson Robbie Leake and Mr. and Mrs. Homer Jenkins of Etlan. ' Major and Mrs. Paul Thompson and daughter Ann Rodes of Fork Union spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Rodes Brown. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown and family of Hamilton were guests on Sunday. Mrs. D. D. Breeden and Miss Gladys Johnson of Orange were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert O. Johnson and daughter Carole. The Johnsons and their houseguests spent Sunday at their weekend home “Whispering River”. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Bright and Mrs. Carrie Jenkins were Mr. and Mrs. George Jenkins and family of Culpeper, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hitt and family of Castleton, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jenkins and family of Haymarket and Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Jenkins and family. Mrs. Nellie Fincham returned to her home in Culpeper after a week’s visit with her daughter and ion-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Early Sisk.

Frank Coffey, III, honored his grandmother, Mrs. Perle Coffey on Mother’s Day with a luncheon at Village Inn. Mrs. Coffey Was a Sunday dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh S. Atkins and Mary Sue. Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Goodman, Jr. of Richmond were Monday visitors of Mrs. Coffey. Lyle Baker of Manassas was a Sunday guest of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Baker.

Friday night guests of Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Black were Mrs. Emily Miller of Culpeper and Mrs. Della Howard and her housegueat, Walter Sirvault. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Armentrout and family of Culpeper were visitors on Sunday. Mrs. Mary Clater has returned
