Runtan Horse Show
Set Sat., May 23
A Horse Show including English and Western classes is scheduled for Saturday, May 23, at the Amissville carnival grounds located on Route 211 west of Amissville. The show begins at 9 a.m. and is under the sponsorship of the Amissville Ruritan Club. Entries are expected from Warrenton, Front Royal, Culpeper and Charlottesville in addition to locally.
There will be six championships: Small Pony; Large Pony; English Horse; Western Timed Events; Western, 2 Performance. There will be no cross entering of English or Western Divisions. Twenty-five classes are listed; however, if entries are five or less, classes may be combined.
Lunch and refreshments will be available at the show grounds and admission is $1 for adults and children under 12 are admitted free with parent or adult.
T. W. Ross is the judge for English classes and George Barnes will judge the Western events. T. C. Bledsoe will act as announcer.
