Mrs. Salty L. Mann has been promoted to the position of Assistant to the Vice President of Marketing in the Washington Gas Light Company. In her new position, she reports to Richard C. Vierbuchan who has been Vice President of Marketing for ten years. This is a landmark move at Washington Gas Light, for Mrs. Mann is the first woman to hold a staff position at the executive level.
She has been employed with this company for six and a half years and has worked, in Transmission and Distribution and Customer Service branches prior to joining the Marketing Department.
Mrs. Mann is the 23 year-old daughter of Mrs. Sarah Latham of Amissville and was a 1963 graduate of Rappahannock County High School. She attends evening classes at present in the Department of Agriculture Graduate School. She and her husband, Earl K. Mann, reside in Suitland, Md.
Shirey, Mrs. Jean B. Komek and her children Robin, Joey and John and Mr. and Mrs. Donald R. Williams, all of Richmond.
