PANTHER TALES

On Monday, May 11, the students observed Teacher’s Appreciation Day. There was an amenably at which each teacher was presented a corsage. Guest speakers were Mr. 0. A. Norton and Mr. 0. D. Gasque. A dinner was held in the Home Ec. room in honor of the faculty members. Refreshments were served during the day, by the S.C.A. members.

On Wednesday an assembly honored BUI KUby, BUI Stokes and Bobby Htchenell who were presented Eagle Awards which is the highest award possible in Boy Scouts. The guest speaker was the Hon. John 0. Marsh, Jr. from Strasburg. He is the present congressman from the Seventh' Congressional District. ' This Saturday, May 18, is the' date set for the Junior-Senior, Prom. The band playing wUl be "The Jones” which consists of three members. The Juniors are now in the process of decorating1 the auditorium. ! Next year’s cheerleaders wUl, be: Vanity - Judy Alther, Chris
